My name is Kwame Avery CEO and designer of "Black Pearl" clothing line. The name black pearl originated from a strong background of mine in Fairbanks, Alaska. For all of those who wear this line or even heard of it, knows that it is meant to be more than just a fashion statement but a movement.

"Black Pearl" defines another level for self, and knowing who you are. As a woman, you're a shell with hidden treasures. As a man, you seek to find those treasures!

No fathers to stand up and take control of these young men, leading and teaching them about how to be a man that builds a foundation, work hard, take care of home and respect these women. Mothers not being able to control these young women, teaching them the values of womanhood of cooking, cleaning, and dressing in a reasonable manner, knowing their not bate or just eye candy.

What we need in this world today is more leaders instead of followers. Stop fearing to stand up for what is right and become a better place of caring and loving one another. Most of all looking out for each other again!
